Rocca di Montegrossi Makes Waves in Europe, Too

On the coattails of plenty of media praise here in the United States, our partners in Tuscany, Rocca di Montegrossi, have been making serious waves in Europe, too. Just recently their 2015 Chianti Classico was named the Number 1 Chianti Classico in a recent tasting at Falstaff magazine, one of Germany’s top wine magazines.

A bit of the review, translated from the German: “The winner of our Chianti Classico trophy is the Chianti Classico 2015 from Rocca di Montegrossi. Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi’s winery is located in Monti in Chianti, in the southwest of Chianti Classico. What with 20 hectares is for Chianti a relatively small winery, from several years the estate has nonetheless drawn plenty of attention with its superb wines. The 2015 is a fairy-tale Chianti: dense, full of fruit, juicy and beautifully drinkable.”
