“The Finest Young Wines I’ve Ever Tasted From Dureuil”
We are thrilled to the tips of our toes about the latest reviews of Vincent Dureuil-Janthial’s 2017 Burgundies, and not just because these wines, as per reviewer William Kelley, are “quite simply the finest set of young wines that I have ever tasted from Dureuil.” Indeed, it is long time that Vincent is recognized for the talent he truly is — one of the top young winemakers, bar none, in Burgundy.
Thank you Wine Advocate for this stellar writeup of Vincent’s 2017s and to all the wine lovers out there: it is long time you discovered Vincent Dureuil!
Vincent Dureuil can make a strong claim to rank as the finest producer in the Côte Chalonnaise, but even though I am a long-time fan of his wines, I was unprepared for just how good his 2017 collection is. Tensile, lively whites (which sit somewhere in between 2014 and 2008 in style) and precise, fragrant reds share alike superb concentration and impressive structure, proving just how good the wines of Rully can be, and any readers who have yet to explore the bounty of the Côte Chalonnaise shouldn’t hesitate to begin their first foray here. Indeed, this is quite simply the finest set of young wines that I have ever tasted from Dureuil, and I couldn’t recommend them more emphatically.
